Even this year the traditional Valentine’s Day with the series of events “Verona in Love – Dolcemente in Love” is back. “If you love someone, bring them to Verona!” is the slogan of the event that will take place from 9th to 17th February 2019. PIAZZA BRA
Let’s start with the big news of 2019: a fantastic view of Verona from above and an exciting kiss in the clouds…on board a real hot air balloon! The event is in Piazza Bra (the square of the famous Arena of Verona) from 9th to 14th February, from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and then from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The price is only 20 euros per couple in the case of just a balloon ride or 30 euros per couple with a drink included at the aperitruck, a beautiful flower and a romantic souvenir photo. Also, on February 14th, do not miss the final concert from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Arena, Palazzo Barbieri and Palazzo della Gran Guardia will all be illuminated red for the duration of the event.

So, let yourself be tempted by the thousand varieties of chocolate and pastry desserts proposed by the stands in Via Roma, the road that leads from Piazza Bra to Castelvecchio, which are opened from 9th to 14th February. For a perfect romantic dinner, many restaurants are ready to pamper you with the “Due cuori a tavola” (“Two hearts at the table”) initiative, a themed menu created specifically for the occasion.
TORRE DEI LAMBERTI AND PIAZZA DEI SIGNORI
Where to go for a perfect couple aperitif? Verona has also thought of this: a romantic “high altitude” aperitif on Torre dei Lamberti, with special discounts for couples, and a breath-taking view of Verona from above. Within the Loggia di Fra’ Giocondo, dozens of theater shows, romantic screenings and themed exhibitions are scheduled, such as the unique and affordable works signed “Juliet Love Signature“, pieces of the “wall” that leads to Juliet’s House.
