The International Wines and Spirits Exhibition
The most famous fair dedicated to the world of wines and spirits has reached its 53rd edition. The doors of Vinitaly 2019 will open on Sunday, April 7th at 9.30 am, until 6.30 pm. Veronafiere will host this big event again: 4 days of master classes, conferences, seminars, themed forums and tastings led by international experts.
A single exhibition area of almost 95 thousand metres square is ready to receive thousands of restaurateurs, producers, importers, distributors and journalists, all eager to make new business and discover new trends and innovations in the world wine market. White, red, rosé and sparkling wines, nothing will be missing from the excellence of local and world wine production. Last year, Vinitaly registered 128,000 entries from 143 different countries, and even this year, even before “the start”, the numbers are already skyrocketing, and the exhibition spaces are completely sold out.
The great novelties of Vinitaly 2019, in addition to the larger internationalization of the online catalogue that will pass from 3 languages (Italian, English, Chinese) to 9 (with also German, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese and Japanese), it will be the Organic Hall and the new Vinitaly Design salon. Pavilion F will host both exhibition areas. The space of the Organic Hall will be curated by Federbio and Vi.Te. association (Winemakers and Territories, consisting of more than 150 winemakers from different regions of Italy, France, Austria and Slovenia) and here visitors will be able to find different organic wines produced according to European legislation. The new Vinitaly Design salon will present the new wine trends regarding accessories, objects, packaging and furnishings for wineries and restaurants. Another new feature of Vinitaly 2019 will be the expansion of the area dedicated to the tasting of foreign wines and distillates, the International Wine Hall, which will occupy two rooms instead of one this year.

The Municipality of Verona will also offer a free shuttle bus service for Vinitaly. The main connections for Veronafiere will include the city centre, Verona Porta Nuova train station and the main city car parks, with the frequency of a shuttle bus every 15 minutes, whereas a bus will leave from Valerio Catullo airport every 60 minutes.
Finally, the Vinitaly fuorisalone: Vinitaly & the City! From 5 to 8 April all the main squares of the centre will be animated by shows, concerts, meetings, tastings and gourmet street food specialties, always bearing in mind the policy of moderate and conscious drinking. Some towns of Verona province will also participate in the initiative, including Bardolino, Soave and Valeggio sul Mincio.
